MidSouthCon Postponed to 2021

UPDATED 5/26/2020: T-shirt sales have closed. We are now in the process of shipping/delivering them and hope to have them all sent out in the next few weeks. If you have ordered one, you should be seeing an email from us regarding it. In other news, plans for next year proceed apace and you will start seeing updates on that once we close out our Fiscal Year!

UPDATED 4/25/2020: REMINDER: Refund requests for MSC 38 MUST be sent to refund@midsouthcon.org by MIDNIGHT 4/30/2020 – this coming Thursday! Any not requested by then will be rolled over to next year’s con automatically! T-shirts still on sale until 5/18/2020!

MidSouthCon 38 T-shirts are available for purchase! That’s right! While the convention may not have happened, you can own a piece of the “con that never was”! We are an all-volunteer non-profit organization, so the purchase of these shirts will go a long way to helping ensure there will be more MidSouthCons in the future, so we can continue our mission! And as a way of saying thanks, shipping will be FREE to anywhere in the lower 48! Thank you again for supporting us over the years and we look forward to seeing you next year. Remember to keep an eye on this website and our social media channels for updates and announcements!

UPDATED 4/7/2020: We are currently caught up with refund processing. If you have requested a refund but have not received it or an email from us, please email refund@midsouthcon.org with your PayPal receipt information.

UPDATED 3/25/2020: We are continuing to process the refund requests, but please be patient. We are an all-volunteer organization working in uncharted territory. We are trying to go through them as quickly as we can. They are being processed in the order received. As a reminder, all refund requests must be received at our refund@midsouthcon.org by April 30, 2020. Anything not received by that time will be rolled over to next year. You will not need to re-register if you are rolled over. We will continue to keep you updated on progress. Thank you to everyone who has expressed their support, and be ready for us to return better than ever March 19-21, 2021!

Good evening everyone,

As many of you know, the President of the United States has declared a national emergency with regards to COVID-19/Coronavirus. After long discussions with the Board of Directors of MidSouthCon and the hotel, we all feel the most responsible course of action in light of this is to postpone MidSouthCon until next year, March 19-21, 2021.

Please understand this is not a decision we are taking lightly or in haste. We want to ensure the safety of our guests and members as well as be able to continue our mission of raising money for our charities. This decision was the only way to ensure both goals were met.

If you have already pre-registered or have reserved and paid for vendor tables/art show panels and such, your spot for next year is guaranteed and you need do nothing. However, we do understand that it may be problematic making plans this far out or you may have other extenuating circumstances now that the convention is cancelled, so if you would like a refund, please email refund@midsouthcon.org with your information and we will provide instructions. UPDATE 3/16/2020: All requests for refunds MUST be received by April 30, 2020. Anything not received by that time will be rolled over to next year. You will not need to re-register if you are rolled over.

Per Hilton Hotel Coporporation, all reservations – even those described as non-cancellable (“Advanced Purchase”) – that are scheduled for arrival before April 30, 2020 can be changed or cancelled at no charge up to 24 hours before your scheduled arrival. For details, see https://www.hilton.com/en/corporate/coronavirus/

We want to personally thank every person who has worked so hard to put this convention together. While it did not end as we’d hoped, your efforts are appreciated and have not gone unnoticed. We also want to thank the vendors, artists, panelists, Game Masters and Volunteers who provide their time AND talents to make this convention what it is. And finally we want to thank all of our attendees who have supported us over the years and will in the future – this is a bump in the road, but we’ll come back stronger next year.

If you have any questions or concerns other than regarding refunds, please do not hesitate to contact us at info@midsouthcon.org

We look forward to seeing everyone next year!
